Like many new graduates, Rebeca began her career in a High Dependency Unit (HDU). It was a challenging but rewarding start—learning from experienced nurses, caring for critical patients, and developing her skills in a fast-paced environment. However, the reality of hospital nursing soon caught up with her.
The long hours, constant night shifts, and staffing shortages took a toll. As much as she loved nursing, she found herself struggling to maintain a work-life balance. Rebeca realized that she needed a change—something that would allow her to continue her passion without sacrificing her personal well-being.
Leaving the Mater Hospital after four years of training wasn’t an easy decision, but she knew deep down it was time for a new chapter. That’s when she found Clarity Locums, and it completely changed her career.

Now, as a Community Registered General Nurse (CRGN), she has the perfect Monday-to-Friday schedule that provides the balance she was craving. She’s constantly learning new skills and making a real impact in the community—without the high-pressure hospital environment. And if she ever misses the hospital rush, she can always pick up an acute care shift with Clarity.

After spending years in a hospital setting, she was hesitant to leave, but now she sees it as the best career move she could have made.
Agency work has also opened her eyes to new career possibilities. She’s now seriously considering public health nursing—something she might never have explored without the flexibility and exposure Clarity has given her.
