Vaccinator requirements

Several pharmacists have contacted us about the requirements to be a vaccinator, so we decided to write this blog article to clarify some frequently asked questions.

What are the requirements to administer vaccines?
In order to give vaccines, you will need to have the following documents:

  • IIOP Certificate for: Delivery of a Pharmacy Based Vaccination Service Training Course
  • IIOP Certificate for: Administration of Influenza Vaccine
  • IIOP Certificate for: Responding to an Emergency Situation, Including the Management of Anaphylaxis Training Course
  • Valid CPR Certificate
  • Hibernian Healthcare Parenteral Administration of Medicines Certificate
  • HSELand COVID 19 Certificate

And have preferably administered a flu vaccine in the last 12 months.

We have a number of clients seeking both locum vaccinators and relief temp vaccinators (up to 6 months).

Our relief roles will require both dispensing and vaccinating.

To apply for the locum vaccinator roles all the documents above must be submitted to Niamh at [email protected]

To apply for the contract relief roles please contact [email protected]
