Recently, there have been major changes in the Welsh NHS. On the back of this, Boots have requested the following accreditation requirements for all locum pharmacists seeking work in Wales only. All locums need to have completed this to work in Wales and deliver the basic Welsh NHS requirements.

Training requirements for flu for 22/23 have been confirmed, and can be found at the following link:

Anyone who has previously provided flu vaccination in the last year no longer has to attend any face to face vaccination technique training, but they are required to complete annual BLS and the annual update (either from PHW or their private provider).
Anyone new to flu needs to also attend vaccination technique training – HEIW are planning to hold theirs in September. Dates TBC.
