In order to book General Practitioner shifts with Clarity Locums, you must have your own personal indemnity protection. Professional indemnity is an insurance plan to financially safeguard medical practitioners against legal costs and claims for compensation by the patient in case of a legal row.
The Irish Market offers several choices to GPs. It is worth taking the time to investigate which is the best option for you and your employer. You will be covered by some offers of employment, under the ‘practices’ cover. Others will require you to have your own but will offer a remuneration within your pay pack. If you are considering locum work it is vital to have your own policy to cover this.
