Clarity Locums - Republic of Ireland locum pharmacist training day

Clarity Locums, in partnership with McCauley Health and Beauty Pharmacy, is hosting a day-long training course for pharmacists who may be looking at practicing in the Republic of Ireland but are unsure as to differences between the schemes and legislation that govern the administration of community pharmacy in the Republic.

The course will run from 10am to 5pm, full lunch will be provided alongside tea and coffee breaks.

We will cover the following areas:

• Legal - the various acts and amendments that govern the supply of medication in the Republic.
• Administrative Module - how the legal acts are administered and adhered to day to day
• Technology & Dispensing Module - the technology and dispensing systems commonly used in the Republic
• PCRS / Schemes Module - the various schemes, charges and reimbursements that fund and underpin the supply of medication in the Republic

The course is delivered by pharmacists who have trained and practiced in Ireland for a number of years. Community pharmacy in Ireland is not as straight forward as it is in many countries, as Ireland has a lot of administrative differences in the processing of prescriptions or dealing with pharmacy services. These differences can be learned relatively quickly and this day-long course will provide a firm foundation to any pharmacist wishing to make the move to the republic.
