Agency Nurses Required for Palliative Care in the Midlands

Are you living in Westmeath and have experience in palliative care nursing? We have a great opportunity for midland-based nurses looking to work in palliative care.

Palliative care is a holistic approach to care that centres on providing end-of-life care to patients with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses. A core value of palliative care is ‘the prevention and relief of suffering’. Palliative care is frequently used in conjunction with other treatments and is not entirely for individuals that are approaching the end of their life. Depending on the individual's needs, they may only spend a short time interacting with these professionals and/or they may move in and out of needing specialist palliative care services.

For this particular locum role, we are looking for agency nurses to work full-time in a palliative care role based in Athlone. The role will be available for three months.

About the role:

• Palliative Care experience is an advantage

The ideal candidate should be/have:

• NMBI registration in good standing - Decision Letters will not be accepted
• Minimum of 1 years' post registration experience within an acute setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Both Technical and Professional expertise
• Up-to date compliance certificates in line with HSE requirements
